Banaba is one of the well-known ornamental trees and is widely cultivated in gardens and as an avenue tree. In favorable situation it attains a height of 24 meter and girth 3.6 meter with a clean bole of 12 meter.

Therapeutic uses:

The leaves of Banaba are purgative, de-obstruent and diuretic. A decoction of the leaves, prepared like tea used for diabetes.
